We wanted to update you on the life of our "little man" Antonio.
Since Wendy's passing in July, Antonio's kept a busy schedule living with his Nana in Maryland. He finished summer school at Sargeant Shriver Elementary just down the road from his house and almost immediately went into the first grade at St. Catherine Laboure School!
He's doing well with his classes, particularly with math and art. We're told by his teachers that his reading has improved by leaps and bounds over the fall.
As you can imagine, he still struggles without Wendy's motherly guidance. His grandma, great-aunts and others are doing their best to keep her memory alive in his heart and respect the solid foundation that our good friend set for her baby boy.
One of the foundations that was very important to Wendy was Antonio's education at the same Catholic school she attended for so many years.
Those of us who love Wendy and Antonio want to see her wishes for him carried out. We've set up an education fund to help with the cost--not only of his primary and high school education-- but also for when he goes to college. By the time it's time for his time in college, a 4-year-degree will cost more than $100,000 at a in-state school.
