Wendy at the Northwestern 10 year reunion with Paolo

My dear friend

I first met Wendy early in my freshman year at Northwestern, since she lived down the hall from me at ISRC (the International Studies Residential College). Her smile and laugh were always infectious and no matter how bad a day from orgo bio or anything else, she'd always be there making me smile. From then on, we had a great friendship and was always ready to go and have a good time.

Over the years at NU, the gang of four (me, Paolo, Erica and Wendy, but often joined by Carrie and Lilly) were going to Boyz town to go dancing at Roscoe's. First, before we were all 21, we had to sneak into the bar via their tasty little cafe. Funny how every time after dinner, we all had to go to the bathroom and never seem to return from the bar area....So oddly enough, despite it being a gay bar, Wendy got tons more phone numbers than any of us every did....

I got to hang with her last year for her birthday in Vegas. Despite her chemo, she was still ready to go and explore.

I'll miss her smile, her laugh, her energy and think of her when I'm ever out on the dancefloor.
